It is indicated in nervous affections, loss of energy, with excessive erythrism. Scratching on silk or linen or paper unbearable. Pains and spasmodic muscular actions. Nervous deafness and asthenopia.

Useful in cases of weakness and debility. Sound of scratching on silk or linen or paper seems unbearable. Difficulty in hearing and weak vision. Very chilly with tension and contractions in the body.

Mind: Vanishing of thoughts with pressure in the forehead.

Eyes: Eyes feel stiff. They burn and feel cold. Better, in cold air or by water; worse, sunlight and wind. Weakness of vision. Pain in eyes after surgical treatments.

Stomach: Loss of appetite with flatulence, eructation, and vomiting. Desire for alcohol. Tobacco tastes bitter. Nausea which is made worse after eating. Saliva feels cold.

Rectum: Strings of yellow mucus with odor pass from the rectum. Diarrhea of tough mucus and of undigested stools.

Female: Menses too early, long lasting, and black in color. Yellow leucorrhea that is thick and tenacious.

Modalities: Worse, in cold dry weather; by penetrating sounds. Better, from washing; in damp and wet weather.
