It is reported to be useful in kidneys, and genitourinary tract; affects also lymphatic and mesenteric glands and female mammae. Plethoric young women with dysuria. Women with large breasts. Hepatic and renal dropsies; chronic alcoholics. Incipient and progressive cataracts.

This remedy acts mainly on kidneys and genitor-urinary tract and also affects the glands especially lymphatic, mesenteric and mammary glands.

Mouth: It is indicated for toothache which gets worse after eating and feels better from cold water. Pain as if the tooth was being pulled.

Urinary: Its main sphere of action is on urinary infections with inflammation of the urinary tract both acute and chronic. Scanty urine loaded with ropy, muco-purulent sediment. Burning and scalding during urination followed by straining. Frequent urge to urinate but has to strain before the flow starts. Inflammation of prostate with retention of urine, and sensation of ball in the perineum. Can only urinate better by standing, with feet wide apart and body inclined forward.

Female: Inflammation and swelling of labia with pain in the vagina. Painful induration of the breast without ulceration and excessive production of milk. It is indicated in case of very large breasts and tumor in the breasts with sharp pains.

Male: Inflammation of prostate with loss of prostatic fluid. Smarting pain in the urethra, which extends from neck of the bladder to urethral canal. Loss of spermatic fluid from frequent emissions.

Skin: Lumps from inflammation and enlargement of lymphatic glands and slow healing ulcers.

Modalities: Worse in damp weather and from sitting on cold places.
