It is reported to be useful in diphtheria with great prostration, cases that are prolonged, especially, and in malarial affections, neuralgia, etc, it has been found curative. Asthmatic attacks which recur periodically, with great prostration.Icy skin. Pressure in the solar plexus, with tender spine back of it.

It is clinically indicated in infection of throat in children with great prostration, exhausting fevers with affection of liver and spleen, neuralgia, asthmatic attacks with great weakness.

Head: Fullness and heaviness of head with throbbing pain and great anxiety. Sensation of fainting when looking upwards with dull headache on frontal and occipital regions.

Eyes: Spasms of muscles of the eyeball with intense photophobia and hot tears. Sensation of flickering before the eyes with pain and lachrymation.

Mouth: Thick, yellowish coated and slimy tongue with bitter taste and loss of appetite.

Stomach: Increase and decrease in the secretion of acid alternately. Increased thirst for water without any relief. Diarrhea from taking eggs.

Heart: Constriction of chest with palpitation and sensation as if heart had stopped beating. Periodical attacks of palpitations with craving for open air and shortness of breath. Difficulty in breathing from heart affections.
