It is reported to be used forhiccough, trismus, tetanus, and convulsions.? Bending of the head, neck, and spine backwards, and the general action of the patient is violent, with frightful distortions.
This remedy has a marked effect on the central nervous system producing symptoms of convulsions, spasmodic hiccoughs, violent movements, etc.
Mind: Violent, child-like with restlessness and indifference. State of delirium and mental excitement with singing, dancing and funny gestures. Confused state of mind, feels stupid, everything appears strange and terrible. Vivid dreams during sleep with whining and moaning.
Head: Violent shocks running through the head with head turned or twisted to one side. Inflammation of the layers covering the brain and spinal cord. Contraction of the cervical muscles. Dizziness with pain in the stomach and muscular spasms. Convulsions from concussion and congestion of brain. Eruptions with thick, yellow scabs on head. Head symptoms better from emission of flatus.
Eyes: When reading the letters seems to disappear and hence stares persistently at objects. Crossed eyes with dilated pupils which appear periodically or due to head injuries. The objects seem to recede, approach, and doubles up. Pupils turned inwards as head inclines.
Back and extremities: Violent spasms and cramps in muscles of nape of neck. Head drawn backwards from contractions of the neck muscles. Limbs curved and cannot be straightened. Back bent backwards like an arch. Spasmodic jerking with tearing pain in coccyx, especially during menses.
Skin: Dry scaly eruptions without itching. Eczematous eruptions with discharges which forms a hard, thick, lemon-colored crust. Red sores, oozing fluid and forming yellowish crusts especially in children. Affections of brain from suppressed eruptions.
Modalities: Worse from touch, cold air, blow to the head or injury, tobacco smoke.
