Gymnema sylvestre CH is a useful remedy in cases of diabetes mellitus, snake bites and for loss of sexual power. Depending upon the individualization of case, it is also used for other problems by homoeopathic physicians.

Useful in cases of snake bites. Considered complimentary to regular medication for diabetes mellitus.

Mind: Irritability in the evening. Worse during pain of menstrual flow and better as the pain ceases. Vertigo and a sensation of reeling made better by rest.

Head: Severe headache worse by pressure and by eating. Throbbing type of headache with vomiting and abdominal distension. Frontal headache arising form overuse of eyes.

Nose: Always has a cold. Worse in the morning, and by stooping, better in the open air. Frequent sneezing.

Mouth: Altered taste of a bitter nature and slightly acidic. Unable to taste all things that are sweet. Right sided toothache with bleeding gums. Toothache along with headache.

Throat: Itching and burning in the throat with a tickling sensation. Better by drinking hot milk. Scanty and white expectoration tinged with black spots in it. Dry cough with sneezing and frontal headache. Cough worse by lying down and better by sitting.

Stomach: Nausea and body pains. Burning pains in the stomach made worse by eating. Pain in abdomen accompanied by nausea and better by hard pressure. Sour diarrhea with nausea. Urge for stool immediately after eating anything.
