Natrum sulphuricum CH is a liver remedy and is also indicated in cases of spinal meningitis, head and mind symptoms after injuries to head, skin affections such as warts, gout especially of fingers and toes, etc. Depending upon the individualization of case, it is also used for other problems by homoeopathic physicians.

Clinically it is a valuable remedy for liver affections, spinal meningitis, traumatic injuries to head, skin affections such as warts and gouty complaints of fingers and toes.

Head: Pain in the occipital region with sharp stitches in the ears. Sensation of falling better by sweating, and bursting sensation of head while coughing. Heat of the vertex and boring pains in the in right temple from gastralgia. Complaints after falls and injuries to the head, and mental problems arising from those injuries.

Abdomen: Inflammation of duodenum and liver with jaundice and vomiting of bile. The liver region is sore to touch, with sharp, stitching pains and the person cannot bear tight clothing around the abdomen. Excessive gas in the abdomen with wind colic and burning in abdomen and anus. Constant urging with yellow, watery stools or involuntary, when passing flatus.

Respiratory: Difficulty in breathing during damp weather with rattling in chest. Violent cough, with thick, greenish expectoration. Frequent inclination to take a deep, long breath. Asthmatic complaints of children from every fresh cold.

Back: Complaints after injuries or trauma with violent pains in back of neck, and at the base of the brain. Spinal meningitis with violent convulsions and sharp pains between the shoulders.

Extremities: Inflammation of axillary glands, swelling around the root of the nails, burning in the soles, oedematous swelling of the feet, itching between the toes, gouty nodules and stiffness of the knees. Frequently changes position due to pain in the hip-joints and limbs.

Modalities: Worse from music, lying on left side and damp weather. Better in dry weather, pressure and changing the position.
