Urtica urens CH is very useful in cases of agalactia and lithiasis. It is also indicated in cases of urticaria, spleen affections, gout and uric acid diathesis, rheumatism, neuritis, etc. Depending upon the individualization of case, it is also used for other problems by homoeopathic physicians.

Gout and uric acid diathesis. Rheumatism associated with itchy rash like eruptions. Inflammation of kidney. Profuse discharge from mucous surfaces. Enuresis and urticaria. Spleen affections. Ill effects of eating shellfish. Symptoms return at the same time every year.

Head: Vertigo along with headache sometimes associated with pain in spleen.

Abdomen: Diarrhoea in chronic disease of large intestine characterized by large secretion of mucus.

Male: Itching of scrotum, keeps him awake all the time. Scrotum swollen and painful.

Female: Arrests flow of milk after weaning. Excessive swelling of breasts. Diminished secretion of milk. Uterine bleding. Acid and excoriating leucorrhoea. Pruritus vulvae with stinging, itching, and oedema.

Extremities: Pain in acute gout. Deltoid pain. Pain especially at ankles and wrists.

Skin: Burn confined to skin. Skin rash with Erythematic with burning and stinging. Burns and scalds. Chicken-pox swelling of back Herpes blackish discolouration with sensation of heat and itching. Itching and stinging of scrotum. Severe itching and blotches over skin. Itchy rash all over the body with burning heat all over with formication. Violent itching all over. Consequences of suppressed nettle rash. Rheumatism alternates with nettle-rash.

Fever: Fever of gout. Tropical fever. General heat in bed with soreness over abdomen.

Modalities: Worse from snow-air, water, cool moist air and touch.
